The Digital Nature and Photoshop Workshops
Since the dawn of photography, photographers have documented nature and the landscape with their cameras and film. With the emergence of digital technologies, photographers now have a vast array of additional tools to take their photography to the next level. Your photograph is no longer completed when the film is processed. Digital photography has changed how we as photographers can communicate what we see in the natural world. Are you fully utilizing these new technologies?

The Art of Digital Nature and Photoshop for Nature Photographer workshops are designed for photographers of all skill levels. We’ll take you from the camera to the computer by showing you how to capture the scene as you saw in the field. In the Digital Darkroom, we’ll show you how to optimize your images so you can finish the visual story you captured in the field. We have hand picked a team of highly skilled instructors for our workshops. All are professional photographers, working day in and day out as photographers, and they bring plenty of years of real world experience to our workshops. They will be nearby, in the field and in the darkroom, whenever your questions arise.

Learn to combine Photoshop and Photography!

The Art of Digital Nature and Photoshop for Nature Photographers are packed with so much information in a few days that you will wonder where the time went. The days are long as we go in search of the “sweet light” amidst the natural wonders. You will learn how to get the shot, compose it and capture it properly. In the Digital Darkroom, you will learn how to open, edit, and optimize your images. We’ll also explore ways to manage your photo files, get organized, and market your stock photos.

We’ll start the workshop with presentations by our instructors. They’ll discuss photography and their careers. You will hear first hand their philosophies surrounding their photography and how they captured their scenes. You will see in the multimedia presentations stunning photography that has defined their careers.

The Art of Digital Nature Photography  is designed for all photographers with an emphasis on the beginner or person with a new digital camera. This workshop covers how the camera works, composition, lighting, exposure, and the Digital Darkroom.  In the darkroom we will discuss how to download images to the computer, open then in Adobe Bridge, and optimize them in Photoshop. In addition, we will cover some exciting techniques  to go beyond the digital capture and create exciting images in Photoshop.
