Our photo adventure workshops are designed for photographers
of all skill levels, who seek less instruction and more
incredible scenery and
adventure to photograph. We look for out of the way places less
visited by crowds, yet just as spectacular as some of the more
famous national parks. As with all Aspen Photo Workshops, these
adventures are led by professional photographers, working day in
and day out in the business. They bring plenty of years of real
world experience to our workshops and will be nearby, in the
field and in the darkroom, whenever your questions arise.
We are currently offering the following photo adventures:
The Red Rock & Sandstone: Grand
Staircase-Escalante National Monument in South Central Utah
is an adventure designed for the landscape and nature
photographer. The small town of Escalante Utah will be our base
as we spend our days wandering the monument exploring the eroded
washes, slickrock, and natural arches. This workshop is
led by Charlie Borland. We have also added an optional
Digital
Darkroom Printing program
to this workshop. Check
it out!
Slickrock
and Slots: Northern Arizona will take you through
spectacular scenery around Page Arizona. We'll explore and
photograph slot canyons, Lake Powell, rock formations, and much
more. Internationally noted nature photographer
Brenda Tharp will join
us.
Ghost Towns of Western Montana
Looking for something new? This fun workshop will explore some
very good and authentic ghosts town. We will also spend some
time on our laptops where we'll show you how to create historic
looking photos using Photoshop and applying sepia tone, HDR, and
a few other techniques. Led by and Charlie Borland.
