REGISTRATION AND GENERAL INFORMATION
Thank you for your interest in joining an Aspen Photo
Workshops program. Workshops are intensive photographic
learning experiences. The focus is on learning photographic
techniques through excellent instruction and often includes
lectures, slide presentations, and field demonstrations.
Photo tours, specialty photo shoots, and photo expeditions are
for all photographers, amateur through professional. These
programs trade classroom lectures for experience in the
field. Your trip leader will be available to those who need
assistance with the basics and to those who are more
experienced, but need assistance with identifying great
photographs.
Pricing:
All pricing for trips in is in U.S. dollars. Many of our
trips are planned more than a year in advance and changes may
be necessary, due to changes in supplier services, lodging, or
other prices. These changes may cause unavoidable price
increases. We reserve the right to amend prices without prior
written notice. Should price increases become necessary, we
will contact immediately. Such price increases will not be
deemed sufficient grounds for a refund other than stated in
cancellation policy. Our rates are based on group size and if
sufficient registration is not met, supplemental fees may be
charged.
Lodging:
Some of our programs include lodging and are based on double
occupancy, unless otherwise stated. Lodging for several of
our programs will have no space available for singles and
double occupancy will be required no matter participant’s
gender. Singles, when available, are more expensive and
participants requesting single accommodations must pay
supplemental charges.
Air Travel:
Air travel will be required for many workshop participants to
attend and we strongly urge you to purchase trip insurance
and/or refundable airline tickets. Aspen Photo Workshops
reserves the right to cancel a workshop for any reason and at
anytime. Aspen Photo Workshops cannot be responsible for any
travel expense or non-refundable purchases, deposits, or
reservations.
Transportation:
Transportation is not included in any program unless otherwise
specified. We will depart for our base location to our desired
photographic sites so cars are considered part of your
equipment. We will make every effort to assist in car pooling
to reduce rental expenses. You will be asked upon
registration if you would like your email address distributed
to other program participants prior to program dates. This
will allow those wishing to share car rentals or other
expenses to coordinate. None of our programs include airfare
to or from the programs starting locations, unless listed
otherwise. Please carefully check program descriptions for
details.
Payments:
Applications are accepted on a first come, first served
basis.
The Digital Landscape Workshops require payment in
full at the time of registration. The Stock Photo Shoots;
Cowboys, Horses, and Wild West; and Lighting for
Commercial Photography workshops require payment in full
60 days prior to workshop start date. All other workshops
require payment for the full fee, or a deposit amount as
listed on the workshop sales page, and are required to reserve
your space. Balance of entire fee is due 60 days prior to
programs start date. Failure to pay balance within the above
terms may be treated as your cancellation, as if in writing.
Program fees vary depending on the program as indicated on the
website. Services for tours, expeditions, production
seminars, and specialty photo shoots, vary depending on the
program. All fees stated are for workshop/tours only and do
not include airfares, transportation, meals, guides, film and
processing, or guide gratuities, unless specifically mentioned
in the workshop sales page. If a program needs to be canceled
or the program is full, your deposit will be returned in
full. If a program is cancelled, Aspen Photo Workshops cannot
be responsible for the refund of any fees other than actual
workshop registration fees, such as non-refundable airline
tickets, hotel and rental car deposits, and any other fees.
Refunds and cancellations will be as follows:

including deposits we are required to make to hold your spot
and the difficulty in filling a spot created by a cancellation
on short notice.

admin fee. No refund less than 30 days prior to workshop

or registration fee will be refunded by check, less an
administrative fee and less any other non-refundable fees made
on your behalf with other suppliers, vendors, government
agencies, etc. If you withdraw within 60 days of program
dates, your entire fee may be forfeited unless the vacated
space can be filled. If vacated space is filled, participant
will be refunded the entire fee less $100.00 administrative
fee. Cancellation charges are non-transferable. If a program
is cancelled or a program full, your deposit will be refunded.
Health Considerations:
Aspen Photo Workshops programs are within the capabilities of
average people in good health. Some of our trips may require
walking several miles over uneven trails, moving along rocky
outcroppings, getting on and off a horse, stepping in or out
of a wavering raft or boat, flying in small planes, hiking at
high elevation, and other unknown tip conditions. By
signing up for a workshop with Aspen Photo Workshop and by
submitting a program deposit, you certify that you do not
knowingly have any physical or conditions of disability that
would create a risk for you and other trip participants.
Once a trip has been confirmed and deposits received, medical
circumstances will not be considered as exceptions to our
cancellation policy. We assume no responsibility for
medical care, emergency care, or dietary requirements.
Aspen Photo Workshops cannot guarantee or be held liable for
weather conditions, landscape conditions, models reliability,
hotel conditions, meal quality, airline delays, rental
transportation, damage to photo gear and/or personal property,
health of other trip participants, emergency medical care,
dietary requirements, and cannot be held responsible for
these.
We strongly recommend trip insurance. Programs begin on the
date specified and normal check in times and end on the
specified date at normal checkout times.
A
registration form and liability waiver is required for some
programs and is due 30 days prior to workshop dates. Space in
any program cannot be guaranteed until said forms are received
at our office
