DIFFICULTY DEFINITIONS
Easy Workshops marked as easy mean little hiking or strenuous activity. Most locations we will photograph are close to the cars and/or on level ground for easy walking. Fairly Easy Workshops marked as Fairly/Easy could include walking up to or around a 1/2 mile on trails. There could be some up hill and downhill but generally no elevation gain or loss. You may wish to scramble up some rocks or walk out on the dunes or something similar. Moderate Workshops indicated as moderate may include hikes up to 2 miles (always optional), some hiking up and down hills, a short hike into a canyon (gotta come back up), rock scrambling, etc. Anyone in reasonable good shape and health can do these hikes. Strenuous Preferably, students have the ability to climb Mt. Everest, raft the Zambezi, hike across Death Valley in July, and carry all the instructors gear. These will be special invitation workshops. We don't offer these types of workshops for the most part. |
